Common use
Careprost contains the active ingredient Bimatoprost, which is a synthethic analogue of a natural occuring chemical called prostglandin. Prostglandine is involved in hair growth and the way that it works is by increasing the length of the phase in which the hair growth is active. This will result in your eyelashes getting longer, darker and will fill up any gaps on your eyelids caused by hypotrichosis.
Dosage and direction
The way of using Careprost eye drops for maximum effieciency in eyelash growth is, as follows:
Careprost eye drops should be used everyday by applying the drug at the base of the upper eyelid. Do not apply it on the lower eyelid. Before applying Careprost eye drops, make sure that your face is clean, and you have your contact lenses removed. To apply the drops you will need the special applicators which come in boxes containing 30 pieces that will be enough for a whole month. Make sure that the brush is perfectly clean before using it to apply the drops, because if it is contaminated, the risk of infection is high. Apply one drop of Careprost eye drops to the applicator, then gently touch the skin of the upper eyelid margin. If Careprost eye drops get into your eyes, there is no need to wash it off, as it will do no harm.
Precautions
Please note that treatment for eyelash growth requires commitment. Results will start to show only after 8 weeks of continuous application, and will maximize around the 16th to 20th week. Upon discontinuation of the treatment using Careprost eye drops, eyelashes may revert back to their pre-treatment state. Using too much of this medicine will not make it more effective. It takes regular use and the following of the doctor’s exact orders. If you use Careprost eye drops different and in a higher quantity that the doctor prescribed, you may actually make it less effective in the accomplishment of the ultimate goal of eyelash growth.
